Jesus said to his disciples, “I have been given all authority in heaven and on earth! Go to the people of all nations and make them my disciples. Baptise them in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, and teach them to do everything I have told you. I will be with you always, even until the end of the world.” Matthew 28:18-20

The door is open for sharing the good news of Christ. BBCS has a vision to plant 40 new churches by 2032. To fulfil this we are actively working in outreach areas where there is a welcome for the message of Jesus. We support a number of workers who are serving in different parts of Bangladesh. This includes Sylhet, Joypurhat, Tangail, Bagherat, Hill Tracts and Rajshahi. They work among Bengali people and other indigenous people groups, serving as peacebuilders in their communities, sharing good news and demonstrating fulness of life through supporting children’s work, education, social care and providing pastoral ministry.
Our mission manager is Reverend Barnabas Hembron and it is his job to supervise, guide and encourage those who are working in these places and to coordinate our mission planning.
Opportunities for Mission Training
In order to fulfil our goal, we are training a new generation who have a vision for sharing the gospel. We have both short term and long term training opportunities:
Action Teams (short term)
Every year we train a team of young people and send them to different parts of Bangladesh to gain experience in sharing Jesus with people. During one of the college vacations the young people train at the Baptist Mission Training Centre to learn how to work with children and adults in sharing testimony, creating drama, teaching from the Bible, praying with families and sharing in song and dance. They are then sent to a new part of Bangladesh for them, so that they experience Christian mission in a new context. It is our hope that this short experience will be a step along the pathway in the calling of many workers to serve Christ in mission.

Diploma in Applied Mission (long term)
This is a 2-year field based training programme for those with a clear calling to church planting ministry. The training involves 12 skills based face-to-face training weeks, 6 times per year at BMTC; and in between the trainees are working in the field towards planting local churches. All trainees are also studying TEE courses to develop their theological understanding.
After successfully completing 2 years training and fulfilling the assessment criteria in both study and field work they will graduate and become eligible for receiving a special commission for mission with BBCS.
